Today’s local real estate market is scorching hot. If you have a home that could be hard to sell (for a good price) in a normal market, now might be the time to try. Maybe you live on a busy street, your house needs extensive updating, or you’re close to the train tracks. With a shortage of inventory and an absolute glut of buyers, less-than-perfect homes are selling for top dollar, and in record times. For better or worse, (better in my opinion) buyer expectations have inched back toward the middle a bit. The lack of options is forcing buyers to consider homes that require a bit more work or don’t have perfect locations, and sellers have been cashing in. If your home has great bones, now could be a great time to sell.
